Position: Education Intern


Reports to: Education Manager


Position available: February-May with possibility of extending the position through

                                August as a camp duty manager


Required Skills:

v     Strong interpersonal skills

v     Good working computer knowledge

v     Some weekend and holiday work

v     Strong customer service aptitude

v     Good at multi-tasking

v     Strong flexibility and adaptability

v     Bilingial a plus, but not required

v     Must be at least a Junior in college or have a BS in Biology, Marine Biology, and/or Education

v     Must be able to work at least 30-40 hours a week. Some weekend work required



v     Represents the department and Miami Seaquarium at various community events

v     Cirriculum development for educational programs including Mommy and Me, home school, camp programs, and overnights

v     Responsible for assisting the education specialists during all the education department’s activities

v     Responsible for mass mailing labels and distribution for camp and other education advertisement

v     Responsible for filling in as camp instructor for day camp and spring camp

v     Assist with bus greeting duties
