Humans: Friends or Foe?
Humans and animals have had a complex relationship since the beginning of time. This week campers will learn about the past, present, and future affects that humans have on different marine species. Marine specie relationships that will be explored this week include our impact on sharks, manatees, sea turtles, dolphins, and coral reefs. Campers will learn about the legends surrounding these animals, how our actions have affected these animals in the past and present, and what we are doing now to try and preserve these animal's futures.
Do You Sea What I Sea?
How are dolphins able to hunt without using their eyes? Do manatees have taste buds? What makes sharks such great hunters? Marine animals are amazingly adapted to the environment that they live in. This week campers will explore how marine animal senses play a role in every day survival. Animals that will be explored this week include sharks, birds, dolphins, sea lions, and manatees.
