Penguin Encounter Requirements:
- Participants must be at least 8 years old.
- Participants 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult participant.
- Participants ages 8–17 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
- The program is not available for expectant mothers.
- Guests with disabilities are requested to book via phone at (305) 365-2501, so we can make the necessary accommodations.
Important information for Your Visit:
- Advanced reservations are highly recommended.
- The program lasts approximately 20 minutes.
- General admission to Miami Seaquarium is included with your Penguin Encounter.
- For the health and safety of our animals, all loose items and jewelry must be removed before the interaction begins. Lockers will be provided.
- Cameras and cell phones are not permitted during the encounter. A photographer will be available to capture your experience for an additional cost.
Penguin Encounter
Get up close with our charming penguins in a truly unique experience! The Penguin Encounter offers two ways to interact with these delightful animals.
In-Habitat Penguin Exploration
Step into the penguins’ habitat, where they’ll freely explore and engage with you. Watch as our host introduces you to each penguin and shares fun facts about their personalities. You’ll also have a chance to offer them enrichment toys, adding to this memorable, non-tactile interaction. A photographer will capture your special moments, with photos available for purchase separately. You may even get to witness a feeding session!
Meet & Greet Outside the Habitat
For a more hands-on experience, meet a penguin up close outside the habitat. You’ll get to touch and pet a penguin and pose for a photo with them in a structured, safe setting.
